Life is either a great adventure or nothing.
Yesterday after work Trey surprised me by stealing me away to an exhibit at the Tampa Museum of Art! I brought my new Canon and he had his (we are a Canon couple, you see) and although we could not take any pictures inside the museum, we got to take some afterward. We found a kaleidoscope-like painted wooden ‘camera’ and we used it to take trippy pictures. Seriously, our friend Zahra...

collectible-like
Joan Burstein once said, “Feet don’t have fat days or bad hair days, which is part of the reason women are so obsessed with them.” Read More! Cute article, it made some valid points. Even more interesting are some of the comments, though I don’t necessarily agree with all of them, but as I said: interesting ;)

Ralph Lauren
I think what really captivates me about a collection is a strong view, classic elements and a modern or artistic take.
Ever since I have lived in Florida I have slowly started to appreciate Southern style. Now, Florida in itself is not very culturally Southern if you live near a metropolitan area, but on the other hand, it is near enough the very “Southern” states that there are...

EyeWriter
Tony has ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and isn’t able to move much beyond his eyes. The EyeWriter tracks his eye movements and produces either digital or physical graffiti via a robotic arm that enables Tony to continue to produce art. If you feel so inclined, get some of his work and support him and the team building these tools that can help many, many more people beyond just Tony....

I watched a few of the “How to explain it to my parents”, but I found this one particularly interesting, perhaps for the message he conveys, especially in explaining the invisible threat.
I found the actual footage Martijn edited, found below.

Botanical Picnic
The boy and I went picnicking today! I made him a sandwich and I had a salad because no bread was left, and he brought some tasty fruit (grapes and strawberries! and applesauce!)
Well, before Trey and I even began our meal, we came upon something pretty fantastical. To all of human kind, you are welcome, we have done it: discovered intelligent faerie life, right at a botanical garden!

Apple of my Eye
Bought tickets for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros for the boy and me as part of his birthday gift! I am very excited, they seem like a really fun band to watch live! I really hope I will have my camera by then, especially if the show proves good.
Check out Eddy and his band right below this post :)

Mexico
Looking for some inspiration; for whatever reason lately I am turning to color, which is quite a diversion for my usual attachment to the colors black and white. Frida is by far my favorite artist. Her paintings are alive within and although tell the story of her life, the pain contained in them is universal.
It is interesting how, aside from being Mexican, these pieces of art have similar...

Babies wear clothes too
And they are really adorable while doing so. Seriously! It makes me wish I was little, chubby and missing a front tooth! But those days are gone, so it’s no use wishing (especially the chubby and missing any teeth).
Is it just me or are half of these kids wearing boots?? Do you remember wearing this many boots when you were little? It must rain a lot where...

Lights! Mobile! Action! Through the celly.
Thursday there was some nice weather, even though still on the warm side. USF can be pretty boring, but sometimes it’s kind of pretty too, so I sat outside for a bit. Check out those anatomically correct bulls! Can’t see them? Come visit!
My companion was a pair of pointed heels that have been neglected at the back of my closet for some time. Lately chunky heels and rounded toes...

Fact
Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin’ ‘for the sun goes down.
The really nice thing about being alone at work so early in the morning is that I can sing 70’s songs out loud with no judgment.
