What binds a man to land or water, I wonder, if not that man himself?
-East of the West

On my left (your right) was the shore of the Black Sea and I am (obviously) holding a bottle of bubbles, because no five year old is complete without one in the summertime. I am wearing an awesome denim dress with what looks like to be a strawberry motif in the corner, and some shiny black (tap?) shoes.

Last night I decided to look through old pictures because I had nothing to do (at 3 in the morning). I never thought of myself as cute when I was younger, but I sort of was. Age 5 was my golden year. My mom dressed me in really cute dresses and I wore a lot of ballerina flats with socks, or as you can see here, jellies!

Be warned, there are more coming. For your entertainment, of course.

P.S. I realize I look the same; perhaps a little taller.

Him: Turn back, turn back, Kalino girl, don’t follow after me,
There is a tall forest before us and you cannot cross it!

Her: I will turn into a forest bird and again I’ll come to you,
I will fly over the forest, again I’ll come to you,
Forever yours I’ll be!

Him: Turn back, turn, Kalino girl, don’t follow after me,
There is a deep river before us and you cannot cross it!

Her: I will turn into a fish and again I’ll come to you,
I will swim across the river, again I’ll come to you,
Forever yours I’ll be!

Him: Turn back, turn back, Kalino girl, don’t follow after me,
I have a beautiful wife and two small children!

Her: I will turn into the black plague and again I’ll come to you,
I will kill your wife and raise your children, again I’ll come to you,
Forever yours I’ll be!

“With broken knees,
Riding stars,
We chased our dreams,
Always there.”
