Tonight I have spammed your dash. This was the early stages of a mix-media fox painting I made. The fox is now red.

Fantasies of orange lipstick.
It’s subtly tacky; it’s past Halloween and Thanksgiving, so I won’t be mistaken as being in spirit for the holidays.

Shoe Cobbling

Perhaps everything Madden Girl has given me has been anything but what I want. At one point I thought I liked a pair of shoes by the brand, but I very rarely wore them… and since I have some time and I have been feeling creative, I decided to do something rather daring…

I bought some leather and black paint, and what you see is the beginning stages of my little shoe project. I cut out the front, which was a simple black peep toe the same material as the back of the shoe… a black canvas fabric. Then, I fitted a leather piece over the shoe to fit my foot.

I have a lot more of the shoe done since the photo is taken; I cut the leather to fit the sole of the shoe and added a few more nails; I also painted the tan straw-like platform a black matte color similar to the leather. I have both shoes nearly done; I only need to put in a few more nails and they will be wearable. I will take pictures of the finished project.

I also painted this little random piece of artwork for Krista, since she is collecting them for her wall in her apartment. Originally it was inspired by the Burberry coat collection (I want it to be cold already so I don’t get hot every time I think about coats! ha!), but as are all things with Krista, it was also inspired with pandas (weird Asian thing).

Lastly, I have been vintage shopping, which can be very exciting if you’re in the right sort of mood for it. Only then am I up for the challenge to go through piles and piles of clothes and accessories in a dusty little shop to maybe find a couple of things I really want to bring home with me.

This little bag was one of them! I really thought about it; I was not sure if it was something I would use. But I have discovered it is a really good size and the colors are perfect for both summer and fall (which are really the only seasons we have in Florida anyway).

I am counting down the weeks until I can run through a meadow with my SLR and take crystal clear photos. Soon!
