What binds a man to land or water, I wonder, if not that man himself?

A Drinking Song
Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That’s all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the class to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

It’s impossible to be unaffected by others, and let this shape you, but never allow someone else to define the lines of your self.
I wish I could have a sisterhood as men have brotherhood, but a lot of girls don’t feel comfortable in their own company and believe they can only find consolation if in the arms of a man. I’m not saying we host a bra burning ceremony and hold each other lovingly while we cry, I’m just saying find a balance. Between emotions, love, friends, whatever you do in your time.
I don’t know who I am to give this advice, but I read books…
— Karl Lagerfeld
Here I am
leaving you clues. I am singing now while Rome
burns. We are all just trying to be holy. My applejack,
my silent night, just mash your lips against me.
We are all going forward. None of us are going back.
